I currently work in butchery and deli operations. It’s taught me how real systems work, inventory, prep flow, quality control, and timing when things get busy. Small details matter more than people think: how something is wrapped, whether a step is actually necessary, how fast something moves through the line. I’m always looking for ways to make things faster, cleaner, and more consistent.
When it gets busy, I don’t panic. There’s always a solution. I go step by step, watch what’s happening around me, and adjust in real time.
I also build software. I’ve built JuiceHub, a searchable music and lyrics database, and CSVViz, a data visualization tool built around real export formats from apps people actually use. I approach both the same way: understand the structure, reduce friction, and make it better.
Whether it’s a deli case or a codebase, I’m usually thinking about what’s slowing things down and how to fix it.
