About
I’m TJ. I pay attention to how things work, and then I make them work better.
That shows up everywhere. I’ve spent years in butchery and deli operations, where timing, flow, and quality aren’t abstract, they’re survival when it gets busy. I build software tools that turn raw data into something clear and usable. I track my own life, location, habits, spending, movement, and build systems to make sense of it. I’ve driven across the U.S., backpacked Europe, traveled through Asia, and spent a lot of time watching how different people, cities, and systems actually operate.
The common thread is noticing. Most people move through the world without really seeing how things work. I can’t turn that off.
I think about systems everywhere, food production, cities, markets, data, music, behavior. I cook. I explore. I document. I test things. I build tools I actually want to use. I track things because patterns only show up if you’re paying attention.
Everything I’m building toward is simple: enough freedom to actually enjoy all parts of life, and enough clarity to keep improving how I get there.
